The popular radio show and podcast Horses in the Morning, the world’s leading daily morning podcast for the horse world with listeners in over 90 countries, features Manda Kalimian’s live event “Hooves on First” at Citifield. In partnership with The New York Mets, the fundraiser celebrated America’s iconic wild horses and spread awareness about the difficulties facing our American Mustangs and the importance of the horse and human connection.

“Joey,” the life-size horse puppet from the Tony Award-winning play War Horse appeared pre-game on Mets Plaza and in-game during the seventh-inning stretch.

Rock icon, singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Paul Rodgers (Free, Bad Company, The Firm), who also resurrected Queen, sang the National Anthem. A devoted advocate for horses, 100% of the proceeds of Paul Rodgers’ latest release, “With Our Love,” which charted at No. 4 on rock radio, was earmarked to Manda’s Foundation and the UK-based Racehorse Sanctuary.  These proceeds have already paid for the rescue and extended care for five abused horses.

Each ticket purchased through Mets.com/Horse raised money for Seraphim12 Foundation, which supports the advocacy for America’s horses.

This is just one of Manda’s yearly fundraising events with The Mets!
